Restoration of high-quality instruments
Bettina Hayn decided to specialise in the restoration of stringed instruments early on, during her professional training in England (Newark). In a career which now spans thirteen years, she has gained important experience in reputable workshops in Freiburg and Berlin, as well as in the Berlin Museum of Musical Instruments, run by the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation.In addition to the restoration of high-quality instruments and their everyday maintenance, Bettina Hayn is responsible for bow rehairs and repairs.
Returning old instruments to their original historical state and the construction of baroque instruments are two further focal points of her work.
Violin maker and restorer
Ragnar Hayn made his first violin at the age of twelve. After completing his professional training in England (Newark), he gained valuable experience in the field of complex restoration and showcased his outstanding ability at a series of international competitions for the making of new concert instruments of the finest quality.Manchester International Cello Festival
